COURSE TITLE : Sociology and Anthropology with Family Planning & Population Education
COURSE DESCRIPTION : This course is an in-depth inquiry in the field of Sociology and Anthropology. This is an
Attempt to understand and explain social behavior, and the result of this interaction
brought about by the group life. Moreover, it includes the study of the origin of man
and how he developed his culture along the history of civilization, and the relevant
sociological concept in the analysis of the nature, processes and problems of the
contemporary Philippine Society and social change. Furthermore, population education
and family planning will also be discussed to understand social issues and problems.

COURSE OBJECTIVES AND RELATIONSHIP TO PROGRAM OUTCOMES:
1, Ability to identify the areas of the study.
2., Ability to discuss the scope and nature of Sociology and Anthropology.
3. Ability to come up with a simple sociological and anthropological research by the following the
procedure learned..
4, Ability to identify existing Philippine values that greatly influence contemporary values.
5. Ability to explain why members of the society at times are resistant to change.
6. Ability to appraise the effect of stratification to the development of society..
7. Ability to identify processes in society
8. Ability to list the functions of family to determined family disintegration and family life.
9. Ability to apply concepts on population as one of the factor of the social development .
