OUTCOME-BASED SYLLABUS in P.E 2- SELF-DEFENSE

Knowledgeable to the activities that engages in a profession who can identify and evaluate problems in the workplace and can erudite, and formulate solutions to problems.

An individual being in conformity with what is morally upright and compassionate in dealing with other people.

1.3 Commitment to service.
A graduate who can live in accordance to Thaddean values and able to apply acquired knowledge and skills in the service of other.



P.E 2- SELF-DEFENSE

COURSE TITLE: SELF-DEFENSE
COURSE NUMBER: P.E 2
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Many people participate in sports as amateurs for personal enjoyment, the love of competition, or as a healthy form of exercise. It also provides entertainment for people throughout the word.it is for these reason why sports is imperative in the basic physical education curriculum.


COURSE CREDIT:
1. Lecture: 2 UNITS;

3. Self-Directed Learning: Self- Defense
a. Student’s Portfolio (Journal/Diary) – these include daily/weekly learnings from their experiences according to the direction and instruction of the professor.
PLACEMENT: First Year, 2ND Sem
PRE-REQUISITES: None

PROGRAM OUTCOMES:
1. Demonstrate in – depth understanding of the diversity of learners in various learning areas.
2. Manifest meaningful and comprehensive pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of the different subject areas.
3. Utilize appropriate assessment and evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes.
4. Manifest skills in communication, higher order thinking and use of tools and technology to accelerate learning and teaching.
5. Demonstrate positive attributes of a model teacher, both as an individual and as a professional.
6. Manifest a desire to continuously pursue personal and professional development.
7. To fully integrate women into the development process, to continually search for new and innovative initiatives that will help transform unequal social/gender relations into creative opportunities that would equally benefit men and women.
8. To help determine the extent of the benefits derived by both men and women from the curriculum, programs and projects. It must be able to address the needs of both men and women.

First Year: The students, at the end of the first semester will be able to express and manage their true selves and behaviors.

COURSE OUTCOMES:
1. Affective: It is carefully selected to bring about in the students not only the skills in sports but also consciousness of their growth and development as a social individual.
2. Cognitive: The study of physical Education 3 has two aspects: one, knowledge of the basic skills: the other, knowledge of the rules different sports.
3. Psychomotor: Helps our students develop health and fitness programs like vigor, flexibility, agility and endurance.
